Where do babies come from? We found you in a pumpkin patch, son.

Or you could consider this a late Halloween post, I guess.

My scanner doesn't do so well with pale or light colors. I really need to find the drivers for the secondhand one I've had sitting around in it's box.

book illustration

These two are spreads. I pushed them together a bit so there wouldn't be vast seas of empty space on here, but all that white is room for text.

This post related to last post.

What do people put in post titles? I struggle with it so much.

I'm pretty busy with work stuff and hopefully I can post some of it soon. But until then, there's just sketchbook silliness.

cat studies

Some sketches of my cat. He's big on pencil (and hand) chasing, so I was in great peril while drawing these!

This blue one is an occelated turkey. I enjoy how weird turkey faces are.

bible stories book

This has actually been out for a while now. It's the book of bible stories I worked on last year. I didn't have batteries in my camera, so I finally took these with my phone. The camera in it is pretty terrible, so please excuse the image quality.

Beng Lee Kun book cover

This is a cover I did for the cover of a novel set in China, about a woman who disguises herself as a man to get an education and government position.

Zoomed in background detail.

pen drawings

Trying some crosshatch. These were drawn using refference found online. An octopus, a modern tall ship, and the HMS Neptune.

other animals exist too

Jellyfish turned out to be tricksy little critters to draw. When you look closely, they're pretty complicated for an animal you can see straight through.

Also, pugs are very gremlin-y looking dogs. They have awesome faces.
